These documents contain the latest QLD Government standards for Hostel Accommodation for maintenance and requirement for REGISTRATION:

OF PARTICULAR NOTE:
- Minimum Room Sizes: 7.5 msq + (we were going for around 9 msq)
- Kitchen/Dining Area: kitchen size 0.65 m per tenant or 1.0msq per person for kitchen/dining combined which can include BOTH inside and Outside Areas
- 1 bathroom for 10 people is the minimum - we prefer 6 people and to seperate showers and toilets
- Recreation areas are included in the community areas which must be 0.5 msq per person which may be indoor or outside areas but must be ROOFED
